We have a challenging career opportunity for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work on the core Wealth360 Digital Wealth Platform. About the Role Forward Deployed Engineers on the Wealth360 platform are product engineers with a strong operational mindset. You own features across the full lifecycle — design, build, deploy, test, and production — without handing off to a separate ops or integrations team. Wealth360 is a cloud native, multi region platform built on Go microservices, a Next.js microfrontend portal, and a dual OLTP/OLAP PostgreSQL data layer. Its headless first architecture exposes every capability via REST, making it as accessible to AI agents and custom integrators as to the browser portal. AI assisted development is a first class practice on this team — we expect engineers to use these tools fluently, critically, and with clear judgment about where human oversight is non negotiable. Responsibilities . Design and implement features end to end across Go microservices, Next.js portlets, PostgreSQL schema, and OLAP data projections — with full ownership from design through to a deployed and tested service . Extend the OLAP read model via CDC driven data projections, write consuming queries in reporting and search services, and follow safe multi step schema change deployment practices . Build and maintain platform integration surfaces — the REST API gateway and OpenAPI specs — designed for any consumer: portal, custom UI, or AI agent . Design and implement agentic workflows within the platform; identify where autonomous agents can handle repeatable financial operations and build the secure, auditable API surfaces that enable them . Use AI coding tools fluently and responsibly — accelerate delivery with AI assisted code generation, test scaffolding, and documentation, while critically reviewing all output before commit; apply heightened scrutiny to auth flows, financial calculations, and regulated data handling . Own deployment infrastructure: build automation, Docker/Podman Compose, Terraform modules, and CI/CD pipelines . Drive quality through a comprehensive test suite: unit, database integration, API, end to end browser, and load tests — all passing before a feature ships . Perform code reviews, enforce architectural guardrails, mentor team members, and keep platform documentation current Must Have Requirements . 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong platform or backend focus . Proficiency in Go — microservice structure, HTTP middleware, repository patterns, PostgreSQL integration, and distributed systems debugging . PostgreSQL — schema design, migrations, logical replication concepts, and query optimisation 2017 CGI GROUP INC. Internal . TypeScript / React / Next.js — able to build and ship portlets and shared packages in a monorepo independently . REST API design — versioning, pagination, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API first thinking for any consumer type . Practical daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) as a core part of how you write, test, and review code . Experience with containerisation and CI/CD (Podman or Docker, Compose, pipeline automation) . Test driven mindset across unit, integration, end to end, and load testing . Experience with deploying applications to cloud in AWS / GCP or Azure Nice to Have . CDC / event streaming — logical replication, WAL consumers, projection table design . AI agent tooling / MCP — building or consuming Model Context Protocol servers; designing auditable agentic workflows in regulated or financial contexts . LLM tool use patterns — structured outputs, function calling, agent orchestration frameworks . Multi tenant SaaS — tenant isolation, regional data residency, schema per service patterns . Micro frontend architectures — iframes, cross frame messaging, signed embed URLs . OIDC / Keycloak, Terraform .
