Role & responsibilities • Design, implement, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. • Build, automate, and support secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and containerized applications. • Configure and maintain GCP networking components, including VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall rules, load balancing, and Private Service Connect. • Implement cloud security best practices using IAM, Service Accounts, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, and Cloud Armor. • Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks using Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell. • Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Datadog, Dynatrace, or similar observability tools. • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations across cloud environments. • Support and administer GCP database services, including Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Firestore, Bigtable, Cloud Spanner, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. • Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to optimize cloud performance, reliability, governance, and cost efficiency. • Support GCP Landing Zones, multi-project environments, and governance frameworks using Organizations, Folders, and IAM. Preferred candidate profile • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineering. • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and infrastructure automation tools. • Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Kubernetes architecture, container orchestration, deployments, and autoscaling. • Good understanding of GCP networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewall rules, and load balancing. • Experience implementing GCP IAM, cloud security controls, and governance best practices. • Working knowledge of cloud database technologies such as Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Firestore, Bigtable, Cloud Spanner, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Datadog, or Dynatrace. • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams. • Preferred Certification: Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
