**Role Title** General Physician **Role Summary** - As a General Practitioner (GP), you will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. You'll diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions, manage chronic illnesses, and offer preventive care. Your role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate patient records, and fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients. **What the role entails Key accountabilities/ responsibilities** **1. Patient Care:** Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and assessments. Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses. Prescribe medication and appropriate treatment plans. Provide counselling on lifestyle, health, and disease prevention. **2. Continuity of Care:** Maintain ongoing relationships with patients for continuous care. Monitor and manage chronic conditions, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary. **3. Emergency Care:** Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care. Stabilize patients before transferring to specialized facilities if required. **4. Health Promotion:** Educate patients on preventive measures and healthy lifestyle choices. Conduct screenings for diseases and risk factors. **5. Collaboration and Communication:** Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers. **6. Record Keeping and Documentation:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs). Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations. **7. Quality Improvement:** Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety. Stay updated with advancements in medical knowledge and technology. **8. Community Engagement:** Engage in community health programs or outreach activities. Foster relationships within the community to promote health awareness. **9. Professional Development:** Pursue continuous medical education to enhance skills and knowledge. Maintain licensure and certifications. **10. Adherence to Ethical Standards:** Uphold ethical standards in accordance with medical regulations and guidelines. Demonstrate empathy, respect, and cultural competence in patient interactions. **What we are looking for in you** Valid medical license and board certification as a General Practitioner.
