**Recruiter Contact Details** https://in.linkedin.com/in/mohaneswarareddy **Role & responsibilities** The Head HSE (Health, Safety & Environment and Sustainability) will be responsible for driving a strong **safety** culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing robust HSE systems across the organization. This role carries a dual responsibilityleading HSE initiatives with a strong focus on industrial safety and acting as the key interface for ESG-related requirements. The role requires extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and the Board, particularly on ESG-related metrics, reporting, and compliance. Key areas of scope include: Leading HSE strategy, governance, and operational safety across all plants and facilities. Overseeing all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment, with a core emphasis on Safety in high-risk manufacturing environments. Owning customer-related ESG compliance, reporting, scoring, audits, and disclosures. Preparing and presenting ESG insights, performance, and progress during board-level discussions. Building and reinforcing a culture of safety discipline and environmental responsibility at all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities 1. Health, Safety & Environment Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, systems, and standards. Drive safety excellence across manufacturing sites with high exposure to heat, noise, and operational risk. Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and enforce corrective and preventive actions. Ensure 100% compliance with statutory and regulatory safety norms. Lead emergency preparedness, crisis management, and disaster recovery planning. Build capability and awareness through training, audits, and safety campaigns. ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Interface Lead ESG reporting, disclosures, and compliance in alignment with customer requirements and global frameworks. Support customer ESG audits, assessments, and continuous improvement expectations. Coordinate ESG scoring processes and ensure timely responses for sustainability ratings and disclosures. Collaborate with senior leadership for ESG presentations at Board and governance forums. Work cross-functionally with Operations, HR, CSR, and Compliance to integrate ESG priorities across the organization. Stakeholder Management Influence and engage plant teams, senior leadership, customers, and board members on HSE and ESG priorities. Strengthen relationships with regulatory bodies and external auditors. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on emerging risks and best practices. **Preferred candidate profile** 15+ years of hands-on experience in HSE within high-risk, manufacturing-heavy industries. Strong leadership presence with proven ability to drive cultural and behavioral change on the shop floor. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, industrial safety norms, and operational risk management. Good understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability disclosures, and customer compliance expectations. Experience handling customer audits, ESG scoring, and sustainability reporting. Ability to influence at all levelsfrom plant operations to corporate leadership and Board forums. Excellent communication skills: proficiency in Marathi preferred due to location and workforce engagement needs. Demonstrated track record of leading teams, managing crises, and implementing best-in-class HSE practices.
