The role is accountable for strategic sourcing, commercial management, and vendor ecosystem development across high-value AI compute, cloud infrastructure, data center technologies, and associated services. The incumbent will drive value engineering, risk mitigation, and digital procurement transformation aligned with business growth, hyperscale expansion, and emerging AI workloads. **Roles & Responsibilities** - Lead the end-to-end supply chain and procurement function across AI, Cloud, and Data Center infrastructure, ensuring cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability - Define and execute sourcing strategies for AI compute (GPUs, accelerators), cloud infrastructure (servers, storage, networking), and data center systems (power, cooling, racks, MEP) - Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and domestic vendors, building a robust and diversified supplier ecosystem - Lead complex commercial negotiations including pricing, contract terms, SLAs, payment structures, and long-term strategic agreements - Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization through benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and value engineering initiatives - Ensure availability of critical and long-lead components to support data center expansion, technology refresh cycles, and AI capacity scale-up - Track procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of goods and services aligned with project timelines and business requirements - Establish and manage contract lifecycle governance, ensuring compliance, performance monitoring, and timely closure of contractual obligations - Oversee procurement-related financials including CAPEX planning, OPEX optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management - Deliver measurable cost savings and cost avoidance through strategic sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement programs - Maintain comprehensive and audit-ready procurement records, ensuring adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls - Monitor vendor performance through structured scorecards and ensure adherence to quality, cost, delivery, and service commitments - Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks including geopolitical dependencies, component shortages, and logistics constraints - Develop alternate sourcing strategies and business continuity plans to ensure supply resilience in a dynamic global environment - Drive the adoption of digital procurement tools and systems for improved efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making - Standardize procurement processes, SOPs, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability - Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Projects, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to align procurement strategies with business goals - Support project teams in planning and executing procurement requirements for greenfield and brownfield data center initiatives - Build and sustain strong relationships with key vendors, OEMs, and strategic partners to ensure preferential access and competitive advantage - Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering capability building and a high-performance culture - Train teams and stakeholders on procurement processes, quality standards, and compliance requirements - Continuously review procurement performance through analytics and reporting, and drive improvements across cost, timelines, and quality **EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:** (degree, training, or certification required) - BE/B.Tech (Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science / Mechanical) - MBA (Supply Chain / Operations)- Preferred **RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:** - 20–25 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain / Procurement, with significant exposure to leadership roles - Proven experience in procurement of AI infrastructure (GPUs, accelerators, HPC systems), cloud platforms, and data center technologies including IT and non-IT components - Demonstrated track record in managing large-scale CAPEX-driven projects - Global vendor ecosystem engagement - Sound financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost optimization, should-cost analysis, and cash flow planning - Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across Projects, Technology, Finance, and Operations functions - Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiatives
