**Job Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Histopathologist to join our diagnostic team. You will play a vital role in patient care by examining tissue samples, biopsies, and surgical specimens to identify and diagnose diseases, including cancers and inflammatory conditions. Working closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams, your detailed diagnostic reports will guide crucial treatment and surgical planning. **Key Responsibilities** - **Specimen Analysis:** Perform microscopic and macroscopic examinations of surgical specimens, biopsies, and fluid samples to accurately diagnose diseases. - **Reporting:** Compile comprehensive, accurate, and lucid pathology reports to inform referring physicians and oncologists on patient conditions. - **Advanced Diagnostics:** Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques such as immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, and digital pathology platforms. - **Multidisciplinary Collaboration:** Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss patient cases and assist surgeons and oncologists in formulating treatment plans. - **Laboratory Oversight:** Supervise laboratory technologists and biomedical staff, ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety, hygiene, and quality control protocols. - **Frozen section reporting** **Qualifications & Requirements** - **Education:** Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) with specialized postgraduate training (e.g., FRCPath, Diplomate of American Board of Pathology, or equivalent national medical board). - **License:** Valid medical license and/or board certification in Histopathology/Anatomic Pathology to practice in the region. - **Experience:** Proven clinical experience in interpreting complex tissue samples; strong background in both routine and specialized pathology- 4-5 years. - **Skills:** Exceptional attention to detail, highly developed analytical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to maintain focus for lengthy periods.
