IIB App Connect / API Connect Developer

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - Design, develop, and implement integration flows using **IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE/IIB)**. - Develop, secure, and manage APIs on **IBM API Connect** including products, catalogs, gateways, and policies. - Build and consume integrations using **SOAP, REST, JSON, XML** standards. - Integrate with enterprise systems using **IBM MQ**, JDBC, and other adapters. - Implement API lifecycle management including versioning, security, and analytics. - Collaborate with architects to ensure solutions align with overall **integration and APIC/ACE architecture**. - Apply best practices for error handling, logging, scalability, and performance tuning. - Implement CI/CD automation using **Jenkins** and DevOps pipelines. - Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize integrations. - Deliver high-quality code following coding standards, documentation, and peer reviews. **Preferred candidate profile** - **5 to 8 years** of hands-on development experience in **IBM ACE/IIB**. - Strong experience in **IBM API Connect (v10 preferred)** for creating, securing, and managing APIs. - Solid understanding of **ACE architecture, message flows, ESQL, integration nodes, and deployments**. - Strong understanding of **API Connect architecture** including API Manager, Developer Portal, Gateway services, and OAuth/JWT security. - Proficiency in **SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, XSD, WSDL**. - Strong integration experience with **IBM MQ**, messaging patterns, and queues. - Hands-on experience with **DevOps**, **CI/CD pipelines**, **Jenkins**, Git, and automated deployments. - Good debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning skills across API and integration layers. - Familiarity with **container-based deployments** (Docker/Kubernetes) is an advantage. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
