Insulation Engineer/Non Pressure Parts

Job description

• Basic understanding of Boiler Insulation and refractory materials, applications, and industry best installation practices for thermal power plant projects. • Familiarity with insulation thickness calculations and heat loss concepts . • Review of insulation and refractory specifications, drawings, datasheets, and vendor documents. • Assist in the engineering, design review, and execution of boiler insulation and refractory systems for thermal power plant projects. • Prepare and check material take-offs (MTO), BOQs, and technical inputs for procurement activities. • Coordinate with boiler, ducting, structural, piping, and layout teams for interface engineering. • Monitor vendor engineering activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. • Support preparation of customer submission documents and address customer comments. • Participate in technical evaluations of insulation and refractory vendors. • Assist in resolving site engineering issues related to insulation and refractory works. • Shall be able to independently handle the assignments and responsible for the schedule and accuracy of the deliverables. • Shall possess good communication skills and attitude to work in a collaborative environment.
