Job Role: R&D Knowledge Management Incharge Function: Research & Development Job Family: Officer Reporting to (position): R&D Knowledge Management Manager Direct Reportees: 0 Job Context Job Purpose: To support in creating, protecting and securing IP of Research and Development of Aarti Industries Ltd. Job Responsibilities - Conduct thorough patent searches to assess novelty and potential infringment risks. - Assist in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in India, PCT or other countries. - Assist in monitoring and identifying potential instances of IP infrinment. - To provide the quality technology landscape reports and technology competitive intelligence reports - Conduct market and competitor analysis related to IP landscapes - The incumbent will collaborate with the KM Manager and cross functional teams to ensure that all the IP are properly managed. - The Job also involves conducting research asssisting in IP strategy development, overseeing administrative tasks. REQUISITE SKILLS: - Well versed on using IP databases: Questel Orbit, Scifinder, Reaxys, Espacenet, WIPO, IPO, USPTO, EPO and JPLATPAT. - Well versed with Patent Law (India, USA, EP, China and Japan). - Team player and self-starter - Excellent command over the English language (written & verbal). Internal & External Relationship - R&D: Provide support to the R&D teams for patentability and freedom to operate opinions - Business development: Co-ordinate with the BD team for the Technology competitive intelligence reports and for smooth functioning of Gate review process - Finance (Treasury): Co-ordinate with the finance team for smooth payments of availed services - Attorney Firm: Co-ordinate with attorneys for filing and prosecuting the patent applications - Legal: Co-ordinate with Legal team for handling legal issue - Procurement: Co-ordinate with the procurement team for smooth payments of services Job Position - Pillar: Development - Vertical: R&D - Group: R&D Excellence - Team: Knowledge Management Job specification - Experience: 4-9 years of professional experience in Intellectual Property Management. - Qualification: Master of Science- Organic Chemistry or PhD in Chemistry or M. Pharmacy - Certifications/Trainings: Post Graduate diploma in IPR and/or Registered Indian Patent Agent Competencies - Behavioural: Team player, Adaptability, Open mindset for accepting different views, Mutual respect for colleagues, Quest for learning. - Functional: Excellent writing and analytical skills, Chemistry/Contract Research/Manufacturing business acumen, Deep knowledge in technical subjects and extensive professional knowledge of India and other countries.
