Job description

**Role Purpose:** To lead and scale the Life Insurance business at **Jana Bank**, driving aggressive growth through branch banking, partnerships, and digital channels. The role will focus on building a high-productivity distribution engine, strengthening insurer partnerships, and embedding insurance as a core revenue line for the bank. **Key Responsibilities:** **1. Business Ownership & Growth** - Own end-to-end Life Insurance P&L for the bank - Drive aggressive growth in premium, fee income, and branch activation - Set clear targets for Regions, Branches, and RMs with strong governance **2. Distribution & Productivity** - Drive SIP-like discipline in insurance selling (weekly/monthly run rates) - Improve RM productivity, branch activation, and conversion ratios - Work closely with ZHs/RHs to ensure on-ground execution **3. Partner Management** - Manage Life Insurance partners for business delivery and strategic alignment - Drive joint business plans, campaigns, and product positioning - Negotiate commercials and ensure optimal revenue realization **4. Product Strategy & Customer Focus** - Drive the right product mix (Protection, Savings, Annuity, Child Plans) - Launch relevant products for mass and emerging affluent segments - Ensure strong customer suitability and long-term persistency **5. Sales Enablement & Training** - Build a strong training and certification engine across the bank - Drive a consultative selling culture vs. transactional selling - Enable frontline teams with tools, pitches, and digital journeys **6. Digitization & Process Excellence** - Drive digital issuance, STP journeys, and partner integrations - Reduce TAT and improve customer experience across the lifecycle - Leverage analytics to track funnel, conversion, and persistency **7. Governance & Compliance** - Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance norms - Monitor persistency, complaints, and audit parameters - Build a sustainable and compliant growth model **8. Team Leadership** - Build and lead a high-performing Life Insurance team - Drive accountability, performance culture, and strong execution rigor
