Role Summar yWe are looking for a Software Development Lead (SDL ) to lead a team of engineers responsible for building and scaling Kapiva’s Ecommerce and Health Tech platform s. The SDL will serve as the technical backbone of the tea m, driving architecture, design, and execution while mentoring engineers and fostering innovation through AI-assisted developmen t and automation .You’ll be hands-on in design and coding but also guide SDE-1, SDE-2, and SDE-3 engineers to deliver high-quality, performant, and secure applications . Key Responsibiliti • esLead a team o f Full Stack and Backend Enginee rs in designing and developing scalable system • s.Drive architecture discussions fo r microservices, APIs, and distributed data syste m • s.Partner with Product Managers to translate business goals into technical plans and deliverable • s.Write and review high-quality, maintainable code; set coding standards and practice • s.Introduce and integrat e AI-assisted development tools (LLMs, copilots, code generatio n) to enhance developer productivit • y.Collaborate with the DevOps and Security teams to ensure robust, secure, and observable system • s.Ow n performance optimization, scalability, and reliabili ty of key service • s.Mentor engineers throug h code reviews, design guidance, and technical upskilli n • g.Champio n engineering excellen ce, continuous delivery, and test automation practice • s.Stay hands-on in key modules, especially for architectural or performance-critical component s. Required Skills and Qualificati • ons6–8 years of experience in software engineering, wi th 1–2 years leading te a • ms.Strong expertise in backend technologies (Node.js, Java, or Pyth o • n).Deep understanding of system design, microservices, and RESTful A P • Is.Experience wi th frontend framewo rks (React/Next.js) and full stack integratio • ns.Solid grasp of databases (SQL, NoS QL), caching, and message queu • es.Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS/G CP) and CI/CD practic • es.Familiarity wi th AI/ML integrati ons, personalization systems, or recommendation engin • es.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skil ls.
