Roles and Responsibilities 1. Tax Compliance (TDS & Direct Tax) • Accurately calculate monthly TDS liabilities on various payments (e.g., rent, professional fees, contractors). • Ensure timely monthly deposit of TDS amounts. • Prepare, validate, and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 26Q, 27Q) • Return revision as per requirement • Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16A) to vendors within timelines. • Stay updated with statutory changes in Direct Taxation and ensure organization-wide compliance. 2. Reconciliations & Ledger Management • Perform routine Bank Reconciliations (BRS) to ensure accurate cash flow tracking. • Conduct periodic Vendor Reconciliations, matching internal books with vendor statements, and resolving disputes or ledger mismatches seamlessly. • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity. 3. Day-to-Day Accounting & Calculations • Oversee daily accounting entries, ensuring appropriate ledger heads and cost center allocations. • Assist the senior finance team during monthly/quarterly closing of books and external statutory audits. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills: • Advanced MS Excel: Must be highly proficient with advanced formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Index-Match, Pivot Tables, IF/IFERROR functions). • Accounting Software: Hands-on experience working with ERP software like Tally Prime, SAP, or Oracle is highly preferred. • Tax Domain Knowledge: Clear conceptual clarity on Indian Income Tax laws (specifically TDS sections, limits, and rates). Soft Skills & Behavioral Attributes: • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and mathematical calculations. • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict statutory government deadlines without supervision.
