Job Description POSITIONDESCRIPTION JOBTITLE Manager-OperationalRisk GRADE AVP-I DEPARTMENT Risk LOCATION HO/RO/BRANCH SUB-DEPARTMENT OperationsRisk TYPEOF POSITION Full-time REPORTSTO NationalManager Operational Risk REPORTINGINTO Specialist-Operational Risk ROLEPURPOSE OBJECTIVE - Theincumbent takes directions for the development and deployment ofvarious risk related activities such as Risk controlself-assessment, RBI tranche data control template. - Monitorand gather inputs from key functions of the bank on KRIs. - Thisincumbent is also responsible for documenting and trackingOperational risks arising from other bank activities such asmaterial outsourcing, BCP testing etc. SIZEOF THE ROLE FINANCIALSIZE NON-FINANCIALSIZE - NA - Materialvendors of the Bank (Number varies) KEYDUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE **Business/Financials** - Providescritical input on new All products/processes and any amendmentssto products/processes to highlight Operational Risks - Facilitateregional Ops Risk team across branches and regions to carry outBCP simulation as per approved schedule. - Participatesin product and process review for availability of controls andalso in reviews related to Business Requirements Document (BRD),Functional Specific Development (FSD) and perform User AcceptanceTesting (UAT) to ensure effectiveness of controls before move toProduction - Performpre-on-boarding material outsourcing vendors risk assessment withregards to compliance **Customer** - Responsiblefor implementing risk scorecards across branches and backendactivities to analyse risk indicators - Carryout thematic control testing to review effectiveness of variouscontrols, and provision for automation. - Visitbranches across regions to review process adherence on identifiedand assessable parameters - Responsiblefor the Test of Design and Test of Operating Effectiveness - Preparesdata required for the purpose of various DCTs. **InternalProcess** - Implementsapproach to improve KRI(s) so as to bring them within acceptablethreshold. - Implementationof Internal Audit and RBI recommendations specific to theOperational Risk unit - Reportsloss incidents for identification of control gaps - Responsiblefor implementing risk and control matrix / register for variousprocesses in Ujjivan SFB. - Contributeproactively towards capital adequacy related Stress Testing. - UpdatesOperational Risk checklist on which the branches are assessedwhen visited across regions by Operational Risk team. **LearningInnovation** - Updatesself with prevailing regulations, notification, circulars andguidelines of the regulators and statutory bodies, anddisseminate the information regarding new regulatorydevelopments. - Developtraining modules, including online modules, for development andmaintaining of risk culture. - Attendexternal training programs and workshops to enhance operationalrisk skill sets. - Enhanceknowledge through successful certification on various coursesrelated to risk managements and latest technologicaldevelopments. - Ensuregoal-setting, mid-year review and annual appraisal processhappens within specified timelines for self Educational
