To learn more about our impact, we invite you to explore here . **Work Mode : In-Office** **Location : Bengaluru (Bannerghatta Road)** **Role Overview:** Amagi's R&D organisation is the engine of its product roughly 50% of the company sits here, building the technology that powers broadcast and streaming operations for customers globally. The People Partner for the R&D division will be the dedicated people partner for its largest portfolio: product and engineering functions. This is a full-cycle strategic partner role — not a generalist coordinator — and will work directly with engineering and product leaders to build high-performing teams, navigate people complexity, and drive Amagi's talent-density ambitions into the heart of R&D. The R&D People Partnering team is being rebuilt from the ground up as part of a broader capability upgrade. With Amagi deepening its product investment and preparing for the next phase of scale, this role is being created to bring dedicated, senior-level people partnership to its leaders and teams. **What will you own?** **1/ Strategic partnership** - Act as the primary People Partner for all Tech hfunctions and their leadership teams - Partner with engineering and product leadership on org design, team structure, and talent planning - Bring people insights into quarterly business reviews and planning cycles - Translate Amagi's company behaviours and values into R&D team norms and practices **2/ Performance and talent** - Drive the annual performance cycle (Success-In) end-to-end - Build and maintain succession pipelines for leadership roles - Identify talent gaps and partner with TA to close them proactively - Support calibration sessions and ensure rating consistency and fairness across teams - Lead structured conversations with managers on low performance — Amagi has historically avoided documentation; this role is expected to change that **3/ People and culture** - Lead engagement action planning post-surveys (listening channels) - Support managers on employee relations issues, including PIPs, restructures, and exits - Coach first-time and experienced people managers on leadership effectiveness - Champion psychological safety and inclusive team practices across engineering functions **4/ Organisational effectiveness** - Lead or support org design projects as the Org evolves its structure - Partner with the L&D function on capability development for engineering managers - Contribute to cross-team People initiatives as part of the broader People Partnering community at Amagi **What are we looking for?** - 8–10 years of progressive People Partnering experience, with at least 6 years supporting engineering or product organisations - Demonstrated ability to partner with VP/Director-level engineering leaders not just support, but influence. - Strong working knowledge of performance management, succession planning, and talent calibration - Experience navigating employee relations issues in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - Comfortable working with data; able to read HC trends, attrition patterns, and engagement data and draw business-relevant conclusions - India-based; familiar with India employment norms and practices - Prior experience at a B2B SaaS or deep-tech product company - Exposure to US-based teams or multi-geo org structures - Familiarity with OKR-based goal-setting frameworks used in product orgs **Life at Amagi:** Amagi is an equal opportunity employer.
