Manager - Reverse Engineering

Job description

Role & responsibilities: Reverse Engineering: • Reverse engineering enquiries: Handle enquiries from ZOs, BOs, and customers, studying specifications and coordinating with sub-vendors for pattern costs, 3D printing, and related expenses. • Techno-commercial support: Assist TSS in preparing techno-commercial offers, including deviations to existing parts. • Internal coordination: Collaborate with PMPS, Foundry, and other internal departments to provide optimum solutions. • Database management: Maintain and update the SupremeServ database for processed orders. • Execution ownership: Act as the backbone for all Reverse Engineering and SupremeServ orders, ensuring technical execution including 3D printing, casting, foundry coordination, and machining. • Repair participation: Actively participate in repair activities for Reverse Engineering orders. • Component scanning: Guide teams in scanning components/pump parts at site or RE lab, share scanned data with PMPS, and follow up until final drawings are created for BOM/PR generation. • Drawing review: Review scanned component drawings against actual parts and advise corrections. • Technical support: Provide technical support for pump disassembly/reassembly and resolve issues in repair reports for non-KSB pumps. • Cross-functional mediation: Act as a mediator between SupremeServ and KSB Tech/PMPS, supporting engineering activities across teams. • Customer/vendor engagement: Interact with customers and sub-vendors for RE business, ensuring smooth execution. General : • To act as a backbone of SupremeServ for technical support. • To support TSS, Repairs , and Entire team of SupremeServ for all Engineering activities. • To act as a mediator between SupremeServ and KSB Tech / PMPS. • Any other job defined by Department Head suited for the job profile 1. Work contacts • Superiors, Subordinate team, PM&PS, KSB Foundry, KSB Tech, MRP, QA, Purchase, TSS and contract management, ZO/BO, KSB Germany • Outside KSB: Sub-vendors, Customers for RE business etc. 2. Independence of operation • Independent operation • Seek support from various KSB internal departments if required 3. Work conditions Moderate Travelling Requirement profile: Formal education: BE Mechanical / BE Metallurgy / BE Production. Professional experience: Must be from a Rotating Equipment manufacturing industry (Pump Industry preferred ) In years: 10-12 years. Defined Competencies • Must have Design aptitude and Engineering Acumen. • Through Knowledge of rotating equipment. Pump knowledge will be an added advantage • Pump application knowledge, Product manufacturing processes knowledge. • IIf have worked in application engineering / Service / Production, it will be added advantage.
