Job Description Manager – QA / QC (Quality Assurance & Quality Control) Qualification • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering – Mandatory • Certification in Quality Management / ISO / Construction Quality Control preferred Experience • 8 – 12 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in construction projects, preferably high-rise residential or commercial building projects Job Location • Project Site Role Overview The Manager – QA/QC will be responsible for monitoring and controlling quality standards for one or more towers at the construction site . The role involves ensuring that all construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards . The candidate will lead the tower-level QA/QC team and coordinate closely with civil execution teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures across structural, finishing, and MEP works. Key Responsibilities Tower-Level Quality Management • Oversee quality control activities for assigned tower(s) at the project site. • Ensure construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. • Monitor quality compliance across structural works, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, and MEP installations. Inspection & Quality Checks • Conduct regular quality inspections at various stages of construction. • Verify compliance with method statements, inspection checklists, and approved construction practices. • Ensure proper implementation of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP). Material Quality Control • Ensure materials used at site meet approved specifications and quality requirements. • Monitor material inspections, approvals, and test reports including concrete cube tests, steel tests, and other material certifications. Non-Conformance Management • Identify and report quality deviations or non-conformance issues during construction activities. • Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required. • Ensure timely rectification and closure of quality observations. Coordination with Execution Teams • Work closely with civil execution teams, finishing teams, and MEP teams to ensure proper quality control. • Coordinate with tower incharges and engineers to resolve quality-related issues. • Participate in site coordination meetings related to quality matters. Consultant & Client Inspections • Coordinate with consultants and client representatives during inspections. • Ensure readiness of work fronts for consultant approvals and quality checks. • Address consultant observations and ensure closure. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain records of inspection reports, quality checklists, material approvals, and testing results. • Prepare quality progress reports for assigned tower(s). • Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance requirements. Team Supervision • Supervise QA/QC Engineers and Quality Inspectors assigned to the tower(s). • Guide the quality team in inspection procedures and quality monitoring practices. Technical Skills Required • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and procedures • Experience in quality control for high-rise construction projects • Familiarity with inspection and testing procedures for structural and finishing works • Knowledge of NCR management and corrective actions • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and construction specifications Preferred Skills • Strong attention to detail and quality control practices • Good coordination with execution teams and consultants • Strong documentation and reporting skills • Ability to enforce quality standards across construction activities
