Network Engineer

Job description

Role & responsibilities Network Engineering • Perform troubleshooting(remotely) across: • Routing & switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VXLAN) • Firewalls (NGFW, rule analysis, NAT, VPN) • SD WAN platforms (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, etc.) • Wireless networks (WLCs, APs, RF optimization) • Load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC) • Lead major incident bridges and coordinate cross functional teams. • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long term corrective actions. • Design, implement, and optimize network solutions for scalability and security. • Support network automation and orchestration initiatives. • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and network health assessments. • Review and approve network changes, configurations, and architecture proposals. • Collaborate with security teams on firewall policies, segmentation, and Zero Trust. • Support cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) including VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateways. • Maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.
