Network Engineer

What success looks like in this role: • Monitor and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure within the guidelines of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage) and Change management. • Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical and thorough manner in accordance with SLA. • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration. • Continuously explore the opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and share the best practices across all the teams. • Ability to administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers. • Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment. • Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics. • Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues. You will be successful in this role if you have: • Minimum 2 years of experience in networking technologies. • ITIL foundation knowledge and certification. • Hand on experience in working with the following:• Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices • HP, Aruba switches, routers & WLCs • Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI • SD WAN – Silver peak, Velo cloud etc. • Knowledge on Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness. • Hand on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers. (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki) • Associate level certification in one or more fields. (Cisco- CCNA, Aruba – ACSA etc..) • Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies. • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
