Service > Global Service Operations > Tools Region APC IN The Global Tools Department operates six Tool Warehouses across multiple regions worldwide, including the APC IN regional setup. The Tools Warehouse supports Installation & Commissioning activities with project tools and provides Operation & Maintenance tools to the Service organization. Our mission is to deliver high quality tools that enable safer, smarter, and more efficient Construction and Service operations—significantly contributing to Vestas’ business performance and sustaining its leadership in the global wind energy sector Responsibilities The Operational Buyer ensures timely and precise procurement execution by managing MRP generated purchase requirements, driving effective supplier communication, and handling order exceptions in SAP. The role ensures the right quantity at the right quality is delivered at the right time, enabling smooth material flow by resolving delivery discrepancies, addressing invoice issues, collaborating across functions, and maintaining strong supplier performance. This Operational Buyer role supports Global Warehouses across multiple regions, securing materials and ensuring smooth procurement operations to meet global warehouse needs. The Operational Buyer ensures seamless material availability by executing high quality procurement processes, managing MRP-driven purchasing, and maintaining strong supplier collaboration. The role focuses on timely order execution, exception handling, and smooth coordination across the supply chain to support warehouse and operational performance. Key Responsibilities: Execute MRP driven procurement activities in SAP S/4HANA Create, release, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) Obtain timely supplier confirmations and maintain order accuracy Manage Purchasing Info Records (PIR) updates and resolve master data concerns in coordination with Sourcing and Master Data teams Support global warehouses by ensuring timely procurement, delivery, and documentation Handle delivery management, including follow ups, delays, rescheduling, and escalations Resolve invoice discrepancies and collaborate with Finance/AP teams to close open issues Manage order exceptions such as expedite, cancellation, deferment, and quantity changes Maintain clear, professional supplier communication to ensure timely execution Prepare and update key procurement insights and reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and compliant with internal controls Support continuous improvement projects related to procurement efficiency and data quality Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years of experience as a Buyer in an end to end Supply Chain Management environment High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Expertise in SAP (MM module preferred) with strong analytical skills Experience in data handling, reporting, and query management Strong English communication skills—written and verbal Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively Demonstrated problem solving abilities Competencies Fluent in English and local language Effective task organization and prioritization Strong root cause identification skills Experience with SAP in MM modules Strong communication and collaboration skills Self-driven and independent worker Strong presentation abilities and proficient in computer use Safety-first-mindset What We Offer You'll have the opportunity to help strengthen the position of Vestas in a key market for the company with excellent perspectives of growth.
