Tata Communications Redefines Connectivity with Innovation and IntelligenceDriving the next level of intelligence powered by Cloud, Mobility, Internet of Things, Collaboration, Security, Media services and Network services, we at Tata Communications are envisaging a New World of Communications OpensourceDBA ( L3 Level Support) Primary MySQL DB Support: \\* 10+years of experience as a MySQL DBA (as primary) \\* Secondary database knowledge of Postgres database preferred \\* A Good Knowledge of MySQL database replication \\* Sound Knowledge on MySQL InnoDB cluster configuration/troubleshooting \\* Sound knowledge on Percona Tools / cluster configurations and troubleshooting \\* Sound Knowledge on MEM and MEB \\* Optimize MySQL database performance \\* Responsible for database integrity, security \\* Sound knowledge in MySQL backup and Recovery \\* Responsible for MySQL DB build, HA Build and Replication configurations \\* Estimate MySQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage \\* Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases provide restoration services as needed \\* Develop and optimize physical design of MySQL database systems \\* Develop application-specific fault-tolerant distributed database mechanisms \\* Knowledge of MongoDB or MariaDB or PostgreSQL would be plus \\* Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment \\* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment \\* Good written and oral communication skills \\* MySQL cluster technologies experience is also preferred. Secondary Postgres DB Support: Installing and Configuring PostgreSQL from source or packages on Linux machines. Tuning autovacuum parameters to ensure up to date table stats and reclaim space consumed by dead tuples Implementing backup and recovery (Logical and Online). Setup and maintenance of postgres master-slave clusters utilizing streaming replication (BDR) Performing schema management, database sizing, maintaining privileges. Data migration while upgrading database versions. Extensive experience with Warm Standby (PostgreSQL 9.x and later), and Hot Standby (PostgreSQL 9.x and greater). Performance monitoring and optimization Installing and configuring Object level replication like Slony etc. Installing and configuring connection pooling tools like Pgbouncer and pgpool etc. Configuring log analyzation tools like pgtune and pgbadger etc. Removing the Index bloat Concurrently to improve the performance. Scheduled maintenance activities to vacuum, analyse to improve the query response time. Maintaining custom vacuum strategies at table and db level. DB optimization and troubleshooting Education: Bachelors/Maters degree (BSc/BE/BTech)(MCA/MSc/MS/MTech) Certification: MySQL Administrator Certified (Preferred) ITIL (desirable)
