Reporting to the Package Manager, the role involves coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of inputs and smooth package execution. The Package Engineer assists in tracking progress, resolving technical issues, and managing interfaces across functions. The role also includes preparing documentation, following up with vendors and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project standards, and safety requirements under the guidance of the Package Manager. **SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES** **Package Execution & Coordination** - Support the Package Manager in the execution of the assigned package (e.g., Boiler, TG, BOP, Civil, Electrical) as per project schedule, quality, and cost objectives. - Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, and technical inputs. - Track progress of engineering deliverables, manufacturing clearances, dispatches, and site activities related to the package. - Assist in identifying execution bottlenecks and escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner. - Maintain and update package-level tracking reports, dashboards, and documentation for review. - Timely processing of vendor invoices for Customer billing & vendor payment. **Procurement & Vendor Coordination** - Follow up with vendors and suppliers for timely submission of engineering drawings, QAPs, and technical documents. - Monitor manufacturing status and coordinate inspections, dispatch plans, and logistics with concerned functions. - Support quality and logistics teams in organizing inspections and ensuring readiness for material movement to site. - Track and report vendor performance against contractual milestones and technical compliance. **Contract and Commercial Support** - Assist in reviewing technical specifications and scope of work for the assigned package. - Support the Package Manager in documenting changes, deviations, and claims for onward submission. - Provide input for package billing, certification, and cost monitoring activities as required. **Stakeholder Engagement** - Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and site teams for obtaining necessary approvals and clearances. - Coordinate technical discussions and queries with vendors and ensure timely resolution. - Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders for package-related matters. **Quality, Safety & Compliance** - Ensure adherence to approved quality assurance plans and safety protocols during package execution. - Support quality audits, inspections, and compliance checks at vendor works and construction site. - Maintain proper documentation of inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions implemented. **SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONS** **Internal Stakeholder** **Purpose of Interaction** Package Manager - Update on package progress, issues, and support requirements. - Receive direction and align tasks with package strategy and priorities. Supply Chain Management Teams - Follow up on PR/PO status, vendor communications, and delivery timelines. - Coordinate for logistics inputs and material readiness. Manufacturing & Inspection Teams - Track manufacturing progress of package items. - Support inspection planning and documentation closure (e.g., USOD, NCRs). Construction & Site Execution Teams - Resolve site-level technical queries and support installation/commissioning activities. - Monitor erection progress and coordinate for required resources. Planning & Cost Control Teams - Provide package-specific updates for progress tracking and billing milestones. - Share inputs for cost monitoring and material reconciliation. **External Stakeholder** **Purpose of Interaction** Clients / Consultants - Coordinate for drawing/document approvals and inspection readiness. - Assist in clarifying technical queries during inspections & dispatch clearance. Vendors / Subcontractors - Track deliverables (drawings, documents, materials), expedite dispatches. - Resolve day-to-day technical and execution issues.
