• Plant Operation Objective: Execute desk operations and supervise field activities to ensure uninterrupted and quality power generation from WHRS. **Supporting Actions:** • Continuously monitor operational parameters and take immediate corrective actions for deviations. • Maintain shift log sheets, records, and operational reports. • Coordinate closely with field operators to ensure safe and smooth operation. • Conduct regular equipment inspections and verify proper functioning. • Optimize WHRS performance by controlling excess air and minimizing operational losses. • Optimize turbine operating parameters to achieve minimum heat rate. • Take prompt action during emergencies in consultation with Shift In-Charge and Operations Engineers. **2. Shift Management** Objective: Ensure effective monitoring and control of shift operations for reliable plant performance. **Supporting Actions:** • Monitor all operational activities and identify abnormalities. • Coordinate with Shift In-Charge and Field Operators during normal and emergency situations. • Ensure timely completion and verification of operator checklists and log sheets. • Ensure all standby equipment remains healthy and available. • Maintain good housekeeping standards across the plant. • Ensure smooth communication during shift handover. **3. Plant Performance & Reliability** Objective: Improve availability, efficiency, and reliability of WHRS equipment and systems. **Supporting Actions:** • Monitor critical operating parameters to maximize plant availability. • Identify operational abnormalities and support root cause analysis. • Minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and timely intervention. • Support initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing losses. • Ensure optimum utilization of plant resources and operating systems. • Track performance trends and recommend corrective measures. **4. SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) & Sustainability** Objective: Maintain a safe workplace and promote environmental sustainability. **Supporting Actions:** • Ensure 100% compliance with all safety standards and statutory requirements. • Educate employees and contract manpower on hazards and risk control measures. • Conduct Safety Observation (SO) rounds and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. • Conduct daily Toolbox Talks and SWP discussions before critical jobs. • Participate in safety trainings, audits, safety committees, and safety campaigns. • Ensure good housekeeping and eliminate wastage of power, water, oil, air, and other resources. • Promote environmental conservation and sustainable work practices. **5. System Management & Continuous Improvement** Objective: Ensure effective implementation of IMS and continuous improvement initiatives. **Supporting Actions:** • Implement improvement projects to reduce repetitive breakdowns, losses, and operational issues. • Submit Kaizens, OPLs, Good-to-Fine suggestions, and other improvement initiatives. • Develop and sustain model areas within the plant. • Actively participate in KFA, GRT, and continuous improvement meetings. • Support implementation of new technologies and productivity improvement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO, WCM, ENMS, and audit requirements. • Implement SOPs related to critical spares and consumables. • Identify and rectify leakages, unsafe conditions, and emission-related issues.
