**Position: Project Line II – Engineer – Packing Plant** **Department: Project / Mechanical** **Location: Jhajjar Cement works, Haryana** **Reporting To: Project Manager / Section Head – Mechanical** **Preferred Industry** - Cement / Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering / EPC Projects **Key Responsibilities** - Project Execution & Installation - Supervise erection and installation of packing plant equipment such as rotary packers, conveyors, bucket elevators, and loading systems. - Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule - Coordinate with contractors and vendors for smooth execution. - Planning & Coordination - Prepare daily and weekly work plans and monitor progress. - Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for seamless project execution. - Ensure timely availability of materials, manpower, and tools. - Quality Assurance - Ensure all mechanical works comply with technical specifications and quality standards. - Conduct inspections, alignment checks, and maintain installation accuracy. - Follow project quality checklists and documentation. - Safety Compliance - Ensure strict adherence to site safety standards and permit systems. - Monitor contractor safety practices and PPE usage. - Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings. - Testing & Commissioning - Participate in trial runs and commissioning of packing plant systems. - Monitor performance parameters such as packing efficiency and system functionality. - Identify and rectify mechanical issues during commissioning. - Vendor & Contractor Management - Supervise contractor performance and manpower deployment. - Verify work completion and contractor billing. - Coordinate with equipment suppliers for technical support. - Documentation & Reporting - Maintain records of installation, inspection, and project progress. - Prepare daily progress reports (DPR) and status updates. - Ensure availability of equipment manuals and as-built drawings. - Troubleshooting - Identify and resolve mechanical issues during erection and commissioning. - Provide corrective and preventive actions. - Material Handling - Ensure proper receipt, storage, and handling of mechanical equipment and materials. - Monitor material usage and inventory. - Project Completion & Handover - Close all punch points and ensure system readiness. - Support handover to operation team. - Assist in training of plant personnel. **Qualifications & Experience** - ITI/Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - 2–6 years of experience in cement plant projects / industrial projects (packing plant preferred)
