Role: Powertrain Strength & Durability Responsibilities: Develop Powertrain and Auxiliary system FE models using HyperMesh and SimLab. Execute CAE simulations for powertrain systems including: Modal and Frequency Response Function (FRF) analysis. Nonlinear structural and thermal analyses. Low-cycle and high-cycle fatigue assessments. Define and apply structural and thermal loads, boundary conditions, and solver settings for simulation execution. Perform post-processing, interpret simulation results, identify failure modes, and develop countermeasures to achieve target performance criteria. Generate and evaluate weight and cost optimization proposals. Collaborate with design and test teams for failure analysis, CAE-test correlation, and continuous improvement of CAE methodologies. Technical/ Functional : Strong understanding of engine components and subsystems, including engine block & cylinder head, cranktrain, and exhaust systems. Hands-on experience with CAE tools such as Abaqus, FEMFAT, Nastran, AVL Excite, HyperMesh, SimLab, and NX. Sound knowledge of powertrain systems, combustion phenomena, and associated thermal and dynamic load conditions. Proficient in Nastran dynamic analyses (SOL103, SOL111, SOL112), Abaqus thermal and nonlinear simulations, and FEMFAT fatigue assessments. Experience in Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) analysis using AVL Excite is an added advantage. Capable of handling large DOF finite element models involving complex nonlinear contact interactions. Proficiency in MS Office applications and macro-based automation for reporting and workflow efficiency. Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation capabilities. Behavioral: Communication & presentation skills, Problem solving skills, Achievement oriented, Team player, Learnability, Networking skills
