As part of the multibillion-dollar diversified CKA Birla Group, Birlasoft with its 12,000+ professionals, is committed to continuing the Group’s 170-year heritage of building sustainable communities Job Title: Enterprise Integration & Intelligent Automation Architect (Presales) Role Summary: We are seeking a senior Integration & Automation Architect to lead solutioning and presales for enterprise customers. The role will shape end-to-end integration architecture (API-led, EAI/ESB/SOA, B2B/EDI/MFT, iPaaS) and intelligent automation solutions (process mining, RPA/IPA, IDP, conversational AI), create winning proposals, and guide customers through discovery, estimation, PoCs, and solution presentations. Key Responsibilities A) Presales & Customer Solutioning • Lead customer discovery workshops to understand business goals, integration landscape, and automation opportunities; translate into solution approach and architecture • Create high-quality proposals including scope, assumptions, dependencies, deliverables, and solution narratives; support RFP/RFI responses. • Own effort estimation, sizing, and commercials inputs in partnership with delivery and sales teams. • Build and present high-level architecture diagrams , integration flows, and managed services proposals; confidently defend the solution to customer stakeholders. • Design and deliver PoCs/demos for integration and automation use-cases; define success criteria and roadmap to scale. • Engage with stakeholders across business and IT; drive solution consensus and manage technical expectations. (This stakeholder-heavy nature is consistent with internal integration architect role expectations.) B) Enterprise Integration Architecture • Define integration strategy and target architecture : API-led integration, event-driven integration, batch/real-time patterns, integration security, observability, and reliability. • Architect solutions across: • API Management and gateways, API lifecycle, policies, and governance • EAI / ESB / SOA patterns and middleware design • B2B integration including EDI + partner onboarding and MFT/managed file transfer • iPaaS and cloud integration services for hybrid landscapes • Define integration deliverables such as HLD/LLD , interface catalogs, deployment architecture, NFRs (performance, security, HA), and runbooks • Guide teams on implementation best practices, code reviews, and platform hardening; mentor engineers/tech leads. C) Intelligent Automation Architecture • Identify and size automation opportunities using: • Process mining / discovery, mapping, KPIs definition, and PoC planning • Process automation and “ERP surround” automation • Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and AI-assisted extraction (NLP/NLG, CV) • Conversational AI / bots and automation operations • Propose reusable components and an Automation-as-a-Service approach where applicable. Core Technology & Platform Skills (Any strong combination) Integration Platforms & Tools (examples) • iPaaS / integration suites: MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, webMethods, SnapLogic, Talend, Tibco, Oracle integration technologies • Data integration/ETL: Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Talend • API management/gateways: Azure APIM, Apigee, Kong, AWS API (as applicable) • Event & messaging: Kafka, Solace, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Azure Event Hub, AWS SQS/Kinesis • B2B/EDI/MFT: IBM Sterling, Oracle B2B , plus partner onboarding/standards exposure Automation (examples) • Expertise in UiPath and Automation Anywhere platform • Experience in agentic process automation using UiPath and AA platform • Adept in deriving efforts estimation and license requirement for various customer requirements • Process mining + analysis, RPA/IPA, IDP, conversational AI, bot analytics, low-code/no-code automation • Test automation and enterprise automation architecture exposure (PoCs, best practices, troubleshooting, scaling) Engineering & DevOps (good-to-have / enabling) • CI/CD, automation of delivery workflows, cloud basics (Azure/AWS), infrastructure automation/IaC awareness Required Experience & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent). • Strong experience in enterprise integration architecture and delivery (design + implementation leadership). • Presales experience: proposal creation, sizing/estimation, solution presentations, customer workshops. • Experience range guidance (internal examples): • Presales Solution Architect roles often target 10–15 years . • Integration Technical Architect expectations can be 12+ years with deep tool expertise Soft Skills / Competencies • Excellent customer-facing communication and structured storytelling (whiteboarding + documentation). • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across sales, delivery, product, and customer IT. • Analytical problem-solving; ability to troubleshoot complex integration/automation issues. Key Deliverables (What “Good” Looks Like) • Integration + automation solution blueprint , reference architecture, and roadmap. • Customer-ready proposal pack: scope, architecture diagrams, estimates/sizing, risks/assumptions. • PoCs/demos that convert to implementation; reusable assets/accelerators recommended. Governance recommendations: CoE/C4E, integration factory setup, API lifecycle
