Responsibilities Product Strategy & Development: - • Define and execute the ocean freight product strategy for both FCL and LCL services. • Develop trade lane-specific plans (e.g., Asia-Europe, ISC-Middle East, ISC-Africa). • Innovative service offerings include value-added services and digital solutions. Carrier & Vendor Management :- • Build and maintain strategic relationships with shipping lines and co-loaders. • Negotiate competitive freight rates, space allocations, and service contracts. • Monitor carrier performance and resolve service issues proactively. Pricing & Procurement :- • Lead pricing strategy and procurement for ocean freight across trade lanes. • Ensure margin optimization while maintaining market competitiveness. • Collaborate with sales and finance teams for pricing governance and approvals. Operational Excellence :- • Work closely with operations teams to ensure service quality and process efficiency. • Drive automation, digitalization, and standardization of ocean freight processes. • Monitor KPIs such as transit time, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction. Sales Enablement & Market Intelligence :- • Support sales teams with product training, market insights, and solution design. • Analyze market trends, competitor offers, and customer feedback. • Develop marketing collateral and product presentations. Compliance & Risk Management :- • Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations and customs laws. • Mitigate risks related to cargo claims, documentation errors, and regulatory audits. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with digital freight platforms and TMS systems. • Experience working with global freight forwarders or NVOCCs. • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive change. • Strong commercial mindset with a customer-centric approach. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field. • 15+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, product management, or carrier relations. • Strong understanding of global trade lanes, INCOTERMS, and shipping documentation. • Proven experience in pricing, procurement, and vendor negotiations. • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
