Project Engineering Manager

Job description

Role & responsibilities: • Engineering Planning & Execution: Develop the overall engineering execution plan, schedule, and deliverable register in alignment with the broader project milestones. • Multidisciplinary Coordination: Lead and synchronize various engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation, Process) to ensure seamless design integration. • Technical Interface Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, licensors, vendors, and subcontractors. • Procurement Support: Drive the Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) process, review vendor drawings, and ensure procured equipment matches design specifications. • Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all engineering outputs comply with contract requirements, statutory regulations, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, and international codes. • Scope & Change Management: Monitor engineering scope changes, assess cost and schedule impacts, and manage Technical Queries (TQs). • Resource & Team Management: Allocate engineering manpower, monitor team performance, and mentor lead engineers. Preferred candidate profile: • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Electrical); a Master’s degree or PMP certification is often preferred. • Experience: 15 to 20+ years of progressive engineering experience within the EPC industry having experience in Oil & Gas, Data Centre or Advanced industrial manufacturing projects , with at least 5 years in a managerial or lead engineering role. • Technical Competence: Deep familiarity with engineering software, design codes (ASME, ISO, IEEE, etc.), and project control systems. • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation capabilities.
