Role To manage, operate, maintain, and ensure the reliability of all electrical systems associated with construction plant, machinery, batching plants, crushers, cableways, tunneling equipment, conveyors, substations, DG sets, and supporting infrastructure for a Hydro Power EPC project. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, uninterrupted, and efficient electrical operations while maintaining compliance with statutory, project, and client requirement Key Responsibilities • Lead electrical operation, maintenance, and reliability of all construction plants and machinery deployed at Hydro Power EPC project sites. • Manage HT/LT power distribution networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and DG sets. • Ensure uninterrupted power supply to construction facilities, batching plants, crushers, tunneling equipment, cableways, conveyors, and workshops. • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment. • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical infrastructure and plant equipment. • Troubleshoot major electrical breakdowns and implement root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures. • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, LOTO procedures, and HSE requirements. • Coordinate with project construction, mechanical, and planning teams for equipment deployment and power requirements. • Manage OEMs, service providers, and subcontractors for maintenance and commissioning activities. • Monitor equipment performance, availability, and downtime to achieve project productivity targets. • Maintain critical spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of electrical materials and consumables. • Review and approve electrical drawings, load calculations, protection schemes, and power distribution layouts. • Drive energy management initiatives and optimize operational and maintenance costs. • Prepare MIS reports, maintenance records, equipment history, and statutory compliance documentation. • Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers, supervisors, electricians, and technicians to ensure safe and efficient project execution. Desired Candidate Profile • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. • 12-18 years of experience in Hydro, Dam, Tunnel, Underground Works, Irrigation, or Heavy Infrastructure EPC Projects. • Strong exposure to HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, DG sets, PLC/SCADA, VFDs, crushers, batching plants, and tunneling equipment. • Experience in maintenance planning, commissioning, troubleshooting, and electrical safety management. • Willingness to work at remote hydro project locations.
