Job description

**Role & responsibilities** : - **Procurement Strategy:** Develop project-specific Procurement Execution Plans (PEP) that align with main EPC contracts and client requirements. - **Tendering & Sourcing:** Lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, evaluate vendor bids (TBE - Technical Bid Evaluation and CBE - Commercial Bid Evaluation), and finalize purchase orders. - **Commercial Negotiations:** Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, warranty terms, payment milestones, and Liquidated Damages (LDs) with suppliers to protect project profitability. - **Vendor Management:** Identify, onboard, and evaluate strategic suppliers and subcontractors, conducting regular audits on capacity, quality, and compliance. - **Expediting & Logistics:** Track manufacturing progress, coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and oversee customs clearance and transportation to ensure on-time delivery to project sites. - **Cross-functional Coordination:** Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, QA/QC, Construction, and Finance teams to resolve bottlenecks and align procurement with design and construction phases. - **Risk Management:** Mitigate supply chain disruptions, commodity price volatility, and vendor defaults through contingency planning and alternative sourcing strategies. - **Compliance & Systems:** Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and statutory regulations, leveraging ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. **Preferred candidate profile** : - **Education:** Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or Supply Chain Management. - **Experience:** Typically 9 to 14 years of procurement experience with heavy exposure to infrastructure, energy, oil & gas, or industrial projects. - **Hard Skills:** Deep understanding of global supply chain logistics, contract law, commercial management, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). - **Soft Skills:** Exceptional techno-commercial negotiation abilities, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and team leadership
