Job Description QA Engineer (Functional) Position Details • Role: QA Engineer (Functional) • Experience: 03 Years • Location: Gurgaon • Department: Product & Engineering • Reports To: QA Lead / QA Manager / Engineering Manager Role Overview The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of DTDC's logistics platforms, including shipment lifecycle, routing, delivery, and customer-facing applications. The role involves functional testing, API validation, defect management, and collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases. Key Responsibilities • Design, execute, and maintain test cases and regression test suites. • Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing. • Validate end-to-end logistics workflows from order booking to delivery. • Conduct API testing using Postman and validate backend workflows. • Perform data validation using SQL queries. • Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA. • Participate in release validation, RCA discussions, and quality reviews. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams to ensure product quality. Required Skills • Understanding of Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing. • Knowledge of API Testing (Postman or similar tools). • Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data validation. • Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, or similar QA tools. • Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills • Exposure to Logistics, Supply Chain, or E-commerce domains. • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems. • Exposure to Automation (Selenium) or Performance Testing (JMeter) is an added advantage. Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MCA, or equivalent. What Success Looks Like • Timely and accurate execution of test cycles. • Effective defect identification and reporting. • Strong regression coverage across assigned modules. • Early detection of quality risks and production issues.
