Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities • Own the overall business performance and P&L of the assigned region. • Drive growth in loan disbursement, portfolio outstanding, customer acquisition, and branch productivity. • Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with organizational objectives. • Manage and monitor portfolio quality, PAR, collection efficiency, delinquency, and credit losses. • Ensure adherence to credit policies, operational processes, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. • Lead and mentor Area Managers, Branch Managers, and other regional teams. • Identify opportunities for new branch openings, geographic expansion, and market penetration. • Monitor branch-level performance through regular reviews and corrective action plans. • Work closely with Credit, Risk, Collections, HR, Finance, and Operations teams to achieve regional objectives. • Strengthen collection practices and ensure timely resolution of overdue and delinquent accounts. • Ensure compliance with applicable RBI regulations, internal policies, KYC/AML requirements, and microfinance guidelines. • Maintain strong relationships with customers, field teams, local stakeholders, and other relevant partners. • Drive employee productivity, capability building, succession planning, and retention across the region. • Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. • Prepare and present regional performance reports and business updates to senior management. Candidate Profile • Graduate/MBA/PGDM in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred. • 11-14 years of overall experience, with substantial experience in microfinance, NBFC, banking, or financial services. • Strong experience in managing multiple branches/areas and large field teams. • Proven track record in driving business growth while maintaining portfolio quality. • Strong understanding of microfinance lending, group lending/JLG, credit, collections, and field operations. • Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the microfinance sector. • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills. • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region..
