Key Responsibilities Inspection & Quality Assurance • Review approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality plans, and purchase order requirements. • Conduct stage-wise inspections during fabrication and manufacturing of equipment/materials. • Witness vendor inspections, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), performance tests, and final release inspections. • Verify compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. • Monitor implementation of quality control procedures at the vendor's facility. • Raise inspection observations, NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. • Verify material traceability, welding records, NDT reports, calibration certificates, and manufacturing dossiers. • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports with recommendations for acceptance or rejection. Expediting & Progress Monitoring • Monitor manufacturing schedules and progress against agreed milestones. • Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, and risks affecting equipment delivery. • Conduct regular progress reviews with vendor management and production teams. • Track procurement status of critical raw materials and bought-out items. • Expedite manufacturing, inspection, testing, documentation, packing, and dispatch activities. • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, project, and vendor teams to ensure timely shipment. • Provide periodic progress and expediting reports to project management. Documentation & Reporting • Review quality documents, manufacturing records, test certificates, and compliance reports. • Monitor submission and approval of vendor data books and final documentation packages. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, progress reviews, and correspondence. • Prepare weekly and monthly reports highlighting quality and delivery status. Stakeholder Coordination • Serve as the primary interface between the project team and vendor. • Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and client representatives. • Participate in vendor meetings for resolving technical, quality, and schedule-related issues. • Escalate critical concerns impacting project timelines or quality.
