**Job Title:** Site Safety Officer **Location:** Jamnagar, Gujarat **Experience Required:** - **B.E./B.Tech**: 3 to 5 years - **Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety** or relevant certification (e.g., NEBOSH, ADIS) - **Industry Preference:** Experience in the Solar Industry, particularly rooftop solar installations **Job Summary:** We are seeking a competent and proactive **Site Safety Officer** to ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with statutory regulations at our rooftop solar project sites. The role involves identifying potential hazards, implementing preventive measures, and promoting a strong safety culture among the workforce. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement and enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) guidelines at the rooftop solar installation site. - Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe practices or conditions; take corrective and preventive actions. - Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and regular training sessions to site workers and subcontractors. - Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper deployment of safety signage and barricading. - Ensure compliance with work permits, height work safety, electrical safety, and fire safety standards at site. - Investigate and report incidents, near-misses, or unsafe acts, and maintain necessary documentation. - Coordinate with project execution and site teams to align safety measures with daily activities. - Maintain safety checklists, registers, and audit records as per organizational and statutory requirements. - Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports to the Project Manager and Safety Lead. - Liaise with auditors, and statutory bodies during safety inspections or audits. **Candidate Profile:** - Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science with a recognized qualification in Industrial Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, ADIS, etc.). - 3 to 5 years of site safety experience in construction or solar/renewable energy projects. - Strong understanding of rooftop safety protocols including work at height, scaffolding, electrical isolation, and emergency response. - Knowledge of national safety standards (IS/OSHA) and statutory regulations (Factory Act, BOCW, etc.). - Good communication and reporting skills with the ability to handle safety briefings and incident reports. - Willingness to be based full-time at the project site in Jamnagar. **Preferred Skills:** - Prior experience in rooftop solar projects, especially on industrial or commercial buildings. - Familiarity with EHS documentation and risk assessment tools (JSA, HIRA). - Ability to foster a strong safety-first culture among site personnel.
