Job description

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with hospital objectives. • Manage procurement of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, surgical supplies, laboratory consumables, and general hospital materials. • Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory. • Supervise warehouse operations, receiving, storage, and distribution processes. • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers and vendors. • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. • Coordinate with clinical, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, and administrative departments to understand supply requirements. • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and hospital procurement policies. • Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction. • Implement inventory control systems such as FIFO, FEFO, and cycle counting. • Lead demand forecasting and procurement planning. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment, stock availability, and procurement savings. • Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for critical supplies. • Lead and mentor procurement, stores, and logistics teams. • Prepare reports on procurement performance, inventory status, and supplier evaluations for senior management.Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile • 5-10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics. • At least 3-5 years in a managerial role within a hospital or healthcare organization is preferred. • Experience with hospital ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is desirable.
