Senior Consultant Hospital VAC & Health Economic Modeling

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in building hospital-facing health economic tools specifically Value Analysis Committee (VAC) economic models for medical device and capital-equipment clients. This is a consulting/on-demand role, where the consultant will lead project execution, interact with clients, and play a key role in building internal team capability through training and guidance. The ideal candidate should be able to independently translate device clinical and cost data into a credible, editable institutional-economic tool that hospital VAC committees can act on. - Design and build interactive Hospital VAC economic tools quantifying a devices acquisition cost against length-of-stay, complication, throughput, and reimbursement effects - Develop budget-impact and cost-consequence models tailored to hospital/IDN economic buyers - Translate device clinical and economic evidence into an institutional-economic narrative suited to hospital purchasing committees - Build transparent, customer-localizable model architecture so account teams can adjust inputs live in front of the VAC - Author methods documentation and user guides accompanying each tool - Engage with device clients and, where needed, hospital economic buyers to validate model assumptions - Provide training and mentorship to internal team members on hospital/device economic modeling techniques - Perform quality control and validation of models for accuracy and defensibility
