Senior Data Testing Engineer – ETL & Data Automation

Job description

Seeking a Senior Data Testing professional with 5 to 7 years of experience to ensure data quality and validate ETL processes within the DATA Automation Testing domain Job Description Work closely with scrum teams to develop and maintain automated and manual data testing processes for ETL and data migration projects Validate data mappings transformations and business rules using SQL and other database query languages Understand and analyze data models mapping documents and integration requirements to ensure data accuracy Collaborate with ETL developers and stakeholders using tools such as IBM DataStage Informatica or similar Support regression testing cycles and release activities to maintain data integrity Maintain comprehensive test documentation including defect reports and test cases Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards throughout testing activities Roles and Responsibilities Design develop and execute automated test scripts and frameworks focused on data testing Perform thorough data validation and exploratory manual testing when required Analyze ETL pipelines and data flows to identify data quality issues and inconsistencies Coordinate with business and IT teams to gather and refine testing requirements Conduct test automation feasibility studies and implement scalable solutions Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing within the DATATESTING family Collaborate in Agile Scrum or SAFe environments to deliver highquality data solutions Report and document test results defects and process improvements to stakeholders
