Job Description: Senior Executive Technical Services Job Title: Senior Executive – Technical Services Department: Technical Services Reports To: Manager / Head – Technical Services Location: Nandesari Job Purpose The Senior Executive – Technical Services will drive operational excellence by executing new product commissions, process improvements, plant expansions, and debottlenecking initiatives. This role bridges the gap between technology, production, and engineering to optimize plant capacity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities 1. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Technology Transfer • Scale up laboratory or pilot plant processes to commercial production. • Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for new products. • Conduct trial runs and validate product quality parameters against specifications. 2. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization • Analyse current manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time and raw material consumption. • Implement energy-saving initiatives and waste reduction programs. • Use statistical tools and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize process variations. • Troubleshoot chronic operational issues to improve product yield and quality. 3. Plant Expansion & Capital Projects • Assist in the engineering design, equipment selection, and layout preparation for expansion projects. • Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and contractors for timely equipment delivery and installation. • Manage commissioning activities, including dry runs, wet runs, and performance guarantee test runs (PGTR). • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards during project execution. 4. Debottlenecking & Capacity Maximization • Identify capacity constraints and choke points in existing production lines. • Perform mass and energy balances to evaluate equipment capabilities (reactors, columns, heat exchangers). • Modify piping networks, upgrade utilities, or re-engineer equipment to increase throughput. • Maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through targeted technical interventions. Required Candidate Profile Education & Experience • Degree: Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B. Tech) in Chemical Engineering • Experience: 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in technical services, process engineering, or projects. • Industry Preference: Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, or continuous process industries. Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of chemical unit operations and unit processes. • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and AutoCAD. • Hands-on experience with mass and energy balance calculations. • Familiarity with safety standards, including Hazop studies and risk assessments. Soft Skills • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving mindset. • Excellent cross-functional coordination and communication skills.
