Greetings from TATA MOTORS !! We are currently hiring for a **Senior Manager - Design Perceived Quality** for our Design Studio at **Pune, Maharashtra**. We are looking for professionals having 4-12 years of experience as follows: **Purpose of the Role** The role is responsible for ensuring that all digital and physical vehicle surfaces reflect the original design intent while meeting the highest standards of form, craftsmanship, fit-and-finish, and customer-perceived quality. The incumbent will play a critical role in establishing Tata Motors' Design Quality benchmarks in alignment with leading global OEMs and collaborate closely with Tata Motors Design India, UK, Italy, and JLR Design teams. This position offers the opportunity to influence vehicle quality from concept development through production and shape the visual and perceived quality of next-generation Tata Motors products. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Design Perceived Quality & Digital Surface Excellence** - Lead Design Perceived Quality (D-PQ) reviews for CAS and Class-A data across all vehicle programs. - Evaluate and validate digital surfaces against design intent, aesthetic quality targets, and global OEM standards. - Surface Quality - Surface Continuity (G0/G1/G2) - Form & Shape Integrity - Reflection Quality - Craftsmanship Standards - Alias - ICEM Surf - CATIA - VRED - Drive optical quality reviews and reflection assessments using advanced visualization tools. - Identify and resolve potential surface quality concerns early in the development cycle. - Develop D-PQ reports highlighting risks, deviations, and recommended corrective actions. **2. Physical Model & Vehicle Quality Validation** - Assess Design Surface Reference Models (SRMs), Clay Models, Bucks, Prototype, Beta and Production-Intent Vehicles. - Validate physical models against digital design intent. - Surface Harmony - Gap & Flush - Section Consistency - Craftsmanship Quality - Reflection Quality - Ensure Class-A data is accurately translated into production-feasible surfaces. - Support issue resolution through collaboration with Design, Engineering, Studio Engineering and Suppliers. **3. Benchmarking & Quality Target Setting** - Surface Quality - Form Language - Gap & Flush - Fit & Finish - Craftsmanship - Optical Quality - Define Design Quality targets and best practices for future vehicle programs. - Create master sections, master surfaces, and quality reference standards. - Support concept development teams by translating benchmark insights into actionable design quality improvements. - Drive adoption of emerging technologies, AI-enabled workflows, and advanced Alias capabilities to enhance design quality and development efficiency. **4.
