Senior Manager - West Region - Parts Procurement

Job description

Purpose of the Role This role is responsible for executing procurement strategies of Spare Parts based on demand requirements. It involves actively managing vendor and plant performance to ensure timely procurement of parts to help drive sales Job Responsibility 1. Strategic Planning and Execution: Plan and execute procurement management of spare parts vendors and plants ensuring quality and timely availability of parts Proactively monitor vendor performance regarding adherence to processes, capacity and quality. Develop procurement projections based on capacity and confirm projections with monthly sign-off meeting Conducting monthly vendor meets to build relationship and highlight area of improvement and develop corrective measure and monitor progress Track customer special requirements regarding availability and timing of delivery to provide high levels of customer service Drive strategic initiatives for the availability of parts without interruption in supply: Stocking of A & B category parts, Vendor Managed Inventory, Pre-packed supply from vendors, Direct billing from vendors end, branding agreements with major vendors Develop new spare parts vendors through Vendor Development processes to manage capacity constraints and risk management 2. Financial Management: Provide guidance to GDC to manage procurement processes and raise Purchase orders in systems Negotiate with vendors to improve pricing based on volume 3. Relationship Management: Work collaboratively with vendors to understand their issues and be an integral part in providing solutions at various level Drive new initiatives, schemes for vendor to achieve targets Collaborate and maintain vendor communication and share best practices Stakeholder Profiles & Nature of Interactions Internal: Head Supply Chain & Demand Fulfilment Drive timely procurement and update on regular basis Vendor Management (in Supply Chain & Demand Fulfilment) Identify and develop new vendors in case of capacity constraints, "non'-current' parts Regional Lead Buyer Drive timely procurement to ensure availability Provide guidance to GDC to manage procurement processes Plant Procurement Coordinator Drive timely procurement to ensure availability Desired Candidate Profile • Education Bachelors in Engineering • Relevant Experience: 7-10 years • Experience in Automobile Industry • Experience in Vendor Management, SAP Module.
