About you and the role: As a Senior Payroll Representative, you will join the Payroll and Time & Absence Team within HR Solutions, based in Navi Mumbai, India. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between Payroll Operations, HR Technology, Finance, Digital Solutions, and Continuous Improvement teams. You will drive payroll standardization, automation, process optimization, reporting enhancements, and technology-enabled transformation initiatives across payroll processes. You will identify opportunities to eliminate manual activities, strengthen controls, enhance the employee experience, and enable scalable payroll operations through digital solutions and data-driven insights. To be successful in this role, you will leverage your payroll expertise, process excellence mindset, technology acumen, project management capabilities, and change management skills to deliver continuous improvements and operational excellence across the payroll function. Responsibilities: • Leverage payroll expertise to manage end-to-end operations, ensure statutory compliance and governance across global payroll environments • Drive payroll transformation through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience. • Identify and implement digital solutions leveraging Power Platform, AI/Copilot, analytics, and automation technologies to reduce manual effort and improve operational effectiveness. • Act as a techno-functional payroll subject matter expert, leading system enhancements, integrations, testing, and optimization across payroll and HR technology platforms. • Develop data-driven insights and performance dashboards to support decision-making, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for process improvement. • Strengthen payroll governance, compliance, and control frameworks while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. • Partners across Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver transformation projects, drive change adoption, and build scalable payroll solutions. • Processing information with confidentiality and with a high level of accuracy. • Perform activities according to the Dow internal control & compliance framework including internal and external audits. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline. • Proven payroll professional with 4+ years of experience in payroll operations, compliance, governance, and global payroll environments, including 2+ years driving transformation, automation, or HR technology initiatives. • Demonstrated expertise with HRIS and payroll platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, ServiceNow), payroll system integrations, and digital solutions leveraging Power Platform, AI/Copilot, and analytics tools such as Power BI. Preferred Skills: • Strong track record of leading cross-functional projects, optimizing processes, implementing scalable technology solutions, and using data-driven insights to improve efficiency, controls, employee experience, and operational performance. • Understand organizational interdependencies and experience working across functions and cultures. • Experience in high volume operational environments is required. • Good problem solving, critical thinking skills and managing competing priorities. • Fluency in English is mandatory.
