**JOB DESCRIPTION** **I. JOB DETAILS** **Job Title** Senior Resident - Critical Care **Reporting Supervisor** Associate Director - Critical Care **II. JOB PURPOSE**   To ensure proper attention to the patient & their attendants.       **III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Core Responsibilities**   - To effectively interact with patients, attendants and service users. - To demonstrate effective application of technical & professional knowledge. - To examine all patients in ICU & follow up the cases. - To provide medical care as required by the patients admitted in critical care units. - To prepare all medical records of the patient being maintained in the ward. - To be available for emergency calls. - To carry out instructions of the HOD in administering the medication and preparing patients for various procedures. - To supervise all nursing / para-medical & non-medical staff for maintaining high standards. - To assist and learn procedures. - To actively participate in presentations of CME’s and Journal clubs. - To participate actively in the teaching program for nursing staff and technicians. - To assist the HOD / Senior Consultants in all emergency cases. - To co-ordinate on matters relating to Provision of infrastructure and maintenance support, selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured. - To ensure optimum utilization of resources by himself and subordinates. - To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.   **IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS** **Measurable Deliverables**   - Clinical Outcome. - Compliant to Max clinical policies.   **V. JOB REQUIREMENTS** **Minimum Qualifications**   MD - Medicine / Anesthesia / Pulmonary Medicine / Chest Medicine.    **Experience**   - 0 -3 Years for Senior Resident.   **Behavioural Skills**   - Good Interpersonal skills - Good communication skills - Leadership skills - Confident   **Technical Skills**   - Excellent clinical expertise needed for the care of critically ill patients. - Fluent with all procedures and equipment handling. - Competent in fitting central lines. - Have expertise in all ICU techniques. - Through knowledge about the ventilators. - Medical & Service Excellence.   **Language Skills**   English, Hindi, Punjabi   **VI.
