SENIOR TECHNICAL LEAD

Job description

• Experience in Life Insurance / Life IT domain • Provide production support for Mainframe applications • Monitor and manage batch jobs using Control-M scheduler • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs • Perform job abends analysis and fix issues related to COBOL programs, JCL, and datasets • Work on file handling and VSAM dataset issues (KSDS, ESDS, RRDS) • Use Mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER, etc.) for data management and troubleshooting • Perform code fixes, emergency patches, and minor enhancements when required • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, business, infra) for issue resolution • Maintain proper incident documentation and root cause analysis (RCA) • Support release and deployment activities • Ensure compliance with audit and operational standards • Good knowledge of: • Batch processing and job flow • Abend codes and debugging techniques • File handling and dataset management • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work under pressure in critical production environments • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills • Self-driven with a proactive approach
