Job Description Software Engineering Manager\\_HPC-AI Job Location: Bangalore Location Flexibility: Primary Location Only Req Id: 11676 Posting Start Date: 8/26/26 Fujitsu Research india Private Limited (FRIPL) Job Description for Software Engineering Manager Job Title: Software Engineering Manager Role Purpose A software engineering manager oversees the design and development of software applications and develops high-performance software solutions optimized for Fujitsu's next-generation processor technologies, which help solve real-world challenges facing society and businesses across different industries. The Software Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met for developing innovative advanced solutions and services to support business outcomes. Responsibilities • Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on Agentic AI and intelligent software solutions. • Drive the design, development, optimization, and delivery of AI agents, AI-powered applications, and software platforms. • Improve performance, scalability, and efficiency of AI workloads across modern compute environments. • Evaluate AI models, frameworks, inference engines, and deployment strategies for production use. • Enable intelligent workflows leveraging LLMs, multimodal AI, retrieval, and tool integration. • Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. • Contribute to technology strategy, roadmaps, and architectural decisions. • Foster technical excellence through mentoring, best practices, and Agile development. • Support hiring, team growth, and capability development. • Engage with open-source communities, industry partners, and academic collaborators. Key Performance Indicators • Number of software applications enabled and optimized for Fujitsu’s new processor. • Number of software applications with improved performance • Development of new software algorithms and technologies Experience You will be able to demonstrate that you have: • Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field. • 10+ years of software engineering experience in systems, platform, or product development. • 2+ years of experience leading teams delivering AI products or solutions. • Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, Multimodal AI, and AI application architectures . • Experience with AI frameworks and serving stacks such as PyTorch, Langchain, OpenVINO, vLLM, SGLang, ONNX Runtime , or similar. • Experience building, deploying, and optimizing AI applications and platforms. • Familiarity with quantization, fine-tuning, model compression, and inference optimization techniques. • Understanding of retrieval, orchestration, tool integration, and agent-based workflows . • Experience with open-source software , Agile development, and engineering best practices. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. Preferred Experience You will be able to demonstrate that you have: • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS , including containers, virtualization, and CI/CD. • Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++ . • Experience with HPC, distributed computing, or large-scale AI infrastructure . • Experience in performance tuning, scalability, and software security . • Knowledge of modern AI ecosystems, agent frameworks, and deployment technologies is a plus.
