About The Company Tata Communications Redefines Connectivity with Innovation and IntelligenceDriving the next level of intelligence powered by Cloud, Mobility, Internet of Things, Collaboration, Security, Media services and Network services, we at Tata Communications are envisaging a New World of Communications Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer – ThreadSpan Product Role Summary The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the ThreadSpan product. This role involves validating end-to-end product functionality, identifying defects early, and working closely with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure that business and technical requirements are met with high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities Functional & Regression Testing • Perform comprehensive functional, regression, integration, and system testing of the ThreadSpan product. • Validate product features against business requirements, user stories, and product specifications. • Ensure seamless functionality across modules, workflows, and integrations. Test Planning & Execution • Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and use cases. • Maintain traceability between business requirements, product requirements, and test coverage. • Execute test cycles for new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and releases. Defect Management • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect-tracking tools. • Collaborate with Development and Product teams to clarify issues and ensure timely resolution. • Validate fixed defects and ensure no regression issues are introduced. Automation & Tools (If Applicable) • Contribute to or maintain test automation scripts for regression and sanity testing. • Identify scenarios suitable for automation to improve test efficiency and coverage. • Work with CI/CD pipelines where applicable to support continuous testing. Product & Business Alignment • Understand ThreadSpan’s business use cases, customer workflows, and end-user expectations. • Work closely with Product Managers and Business stakeholders to validate acceptance criteria. • Provide quality-related insights and risk assessments before releases. Non-Functional Testing • Support performance, security, usability, and compatibility testing as required. • Validate product behavior under different environments, configurations, and user loads. Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing for web-based or SaaS products. • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC. • Experience in writing clear and structured test cases and test documentation. • Good knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools. • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test coverage. Minimum Qualifications & Experience • Graduation in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field • 4-7 Years relevant experience
