Sr. Engineer - Lab Quality and Calibration

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and NABL accreditation requirements - Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) - Develop, update, and manage key documentation such as quality manuals, procedures, and test records - Support and coordinate internal, external, and surveillance audits, including NABL assessments - Investigate non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions - Monitor and support inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency testing activities - Validate and verify test methods to ensure accuracy and reliability - Plan, schedule, and oversee calibration activities for all test equipment and instruments - Ensure traceability of measurements to national and international standards - Maintain calibration records, certificates, and uncertainty budgets - Collaborate with accredited external calibration laboratories as required - Evaluate calibration results and ensure instruments meet defined tolerances - Conduct internal audits and identify risks and improvement opportunities - Manage document control systems, including versioning, approvals, and record retention - Support training and competency development for laboratory personnel - Engage with customers and regulatory bodies to address quality and compliance-related queries - Participate in technical discussions and client audits as needed **Preferred candidate profile** - Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and NABL accreditation processes - Experience working with laboratory quality systems and calibration management - Knowledge of measurement uncertainty and traceability principles - Effective documentation, audit handling, and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** - Experience in NABL-accredited laboratories or similar testing environments - Familiarity with EMC, Safety, and Environmental testing standards (such as IEC, CISPR, UL) - Certification or formal training in ISO/IEC 17025 - Exposure to inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency testing programs - Experience coordinating with external accredited calibration agencies
