****JOB DESCRIPTION**** **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** - Responsible for leading all aspects of Orders, Backlog, Sales reporting/forecasting and Cost accounting activities for valves manufacturing and distribution operation. The role will ensure accurate commercial/top line reporting/analytics, product costing, inventory valuation and margin analysis for our largest Germany based legal entity. The role will be responsible for driving commercial and cost excellence through process optimization, standardization, and enabling data driven decision making + improved profitability - Over time this role will expand its scope across multiple legal entities in DACH region (primarily Germany), to support standardization in all reporting processes - This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, Solutions, Finance and Supply Chain, Shared Services to support day-to-day business processes, compliance, internal controls, analytics and forecasts - Strong SAP expertise (all sites/entities in FLMC Europe are migrating to SAP), experience in discrete manufacturing environment and ability to manage intercompany and multi-entity environments is essential - Guide direct reports to ensure all business/commercial reporting and cost accounting processes produce timely and reliable business insights. This will include key customer analysis (top line and margin), standard costing, work-in-progress (WIP), inventory valuation and variance analysis - Maintain and enhance product costing models/methodologies in SAP (example: BOMs, routings, labor standards, overhead rates and allocations) - Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and operational costs, identify trends, risks and opportunities for cost optimization - Support costing for engineered-to-order and configure-to-order Valves, Systems and Solutions. - Partner with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to support new product introductions, volume outlook, design changes, cost reductions and process improvements - Oversee month-end close activities related to top line reporting (Orders, Sales, Backlog), Trade and Interco price, NMI, factory cost accounting, including inventory and WIP reconciliations, journal entries and management reporting - Ensure compliance with CP&P and ICQs. Support internal and external audits - Support budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning processes with detailed commercial and cost/margin analysis - Act as subject matter expert for SAP cost accounting modules and support system enhancements/implementations - Prepare and present orders, sales and profitability analysis by product line and key customers - Lead, mentor and develop 2 or 3 team members - Support Ad Hoc requirements and projects - Travel to the site in Germany once or twice a year **Who You Are:** You promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals. You handle the risk that comes with moving forward when the outcome is not certain. **For This Role, You Will Need:** - Chartered Accountant or Cost Accounting Professional with minimum 15 years of work experience in manufacturing setup - Strong hands-on experience with SAP (Financial Accounting and Controlling module - FICO) - Proven experience working across multiple legal entities and intercompany structures - Strong knowledge of pricing, NMI, standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting and cost controls - Advanced Excel skills, experience in managing large dataset/reports and BI tools - Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills - Ability to travel to factory in Germany - Qualified Chartered Accountant, CMA - Experience in global or multi-national organizations - Experience with SAP implementations, upgrades or system integrations - Prior Leadership / people management experience - Cross-functional collaboration - Ability to translate manufacturing and distribution data into financial insights - High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset - Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity - Strong business partnership and communication skills - Highly driven and motivated **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** **Our Offer to You:** By joining Emerson, you will be given the opportunity to make a difference through the work you do.
