Location-Chennai/Kochi/Pune EXP-4 to 8 Skill-Infoblox SME Responsibilities • Administer and support Infoblox DDI services covering DNS, DHCP, and IPAM operations. • Configure and maintain Infoblox NIOS Grid, Grid Manager, Grid Members, Grid Master, and Grid Master Candidate components. • Create, update, and manage DNS zones, DNS views, forward and reverse lookup zones, resource records, aliases, and delegation requirements. • Manage DHCP networks, scopes, ranges, reservations, fixed addresses, options, leases, and DHCP failover configurations. • Maintain IPAM data accuracy by tracking IP allocation, subnet utilization, IP reservations, address conflicts, and stale records. • Perform day-to-day operational activities such as DNS record changes, DHCP scope updates, IP allocation requests, decommissioning, and data cleanup. • Troubleshoot DNS resolution failures, DHCP lease issues, IP conflicts, zone transfer problems, Grid synchronization issues, and service availability incidents. • Monitor Infoblox appliance health, service status, replication, capacity, DNS query load, DHCP utilization, and system alerts. • Plan and execute standard changes, emergency changes, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, backup validation, and configuration recovery activities. • Support high availability and disaster recovery readiness for DNS and DHCP services using Grid redundancy, DHCP failover, backups, and documented recovery procedures. • Implement and support DNS security features such as DNSSEC, RPZ, DNS firewall policies, threat feeds, access controls, and query logging where applicable. • Use Infoblox APIs/WAPI or automation scripts to support repeatable DDI operations, reporting, and provisioning activities. • Prepare and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, design records, IPAM standards, audit evidence, and change records. • Participate in incident, problem, change, release, and capacity management processes aligned to ITIL practices. • Collaborate with network, security, cloud, server, application, and project teams for new site deployment, network expansion, migration, and transformation activities. • Provide L2/L3 support, technical guidance, root cause analysis, and permanent fix recommendations for recurring DDI issues. • Strong DNS knowledge including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, PTR, NS, SRV, TXT records, DNS views, recursion, forwarding, delegation, and zone transfer concepts. • Strong DHCP knowledge including scopes, leases, exclusions, reservations, DHCP options, relay agents, failover, and troubleshooting. • Experience in IPAM operations including subnet planning, IP lifecycle management, conflict resolution, utilization reporting, and data hygiene. • Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, VLANs, NAT, firewalls, load balancers, and enterprise network architecture. • Knowledge of Infoblox appliance health monitoring, backups, restore processes, HA design, and Grid replication. • Experience with DNS security capabilities such as DNSSEC, RPZ, DNS Firewall, threat intelligence feeds, query logging, and access control policies. • Experience using CSV import/export, smart folders, extensible attributes, global search, approval workflows, and reporting functions. • Basic scripting or automation knowledge using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Ansible, or Infoblox WAPI/API. • Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or equivalent platforms for incident, change, and request management. • Exposure to cloud DNS/IPAM integration with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
