**πŸš€ AVP – Payments Engineering (UPI & Payments Platform)** We're looking for an experienced **AVP – Payments Engineering** to lead the architecture, engineering, and scalability of our next-generation Payments Platform. This role will own the end-to-end technology stack for **UPI, P2P, P2M, Autopay, Mandates, Merchant Payments, Reconciliation, and Payment Reliability** , delivering a highly available, secure, and scalable platform. **Key Responsibilities** - Own the technology roadmap and architecture for the Payments Platform. - Lead and mentor Engineering Managers, Architects, and high-performing engineering teams. - Design and scale distributed, event-driven microservices capable of handling high transaction volumes. - Drive platform reliability, availability, performance, and operational excellence. - Build robust observability through monitoring, alerting, tracing, and capacity planning. - Implement security best practices, fraud prevention frameworks, and ensure compliance with NPCI, RBI, and PCI-DSS standards. - Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD, automation, platform standardization, and cloud-native practices. - Partner with Product, Business, Risk, and Operations teams to deliver seamless payment experiences. **What We're Looking For** - 12–18+ years of experience in backend/platform engineering. - 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams through Engineering Managers. - Strong experience in **UPI, Digital Payments, Banking, Payment Gateways, Wallets, Merchant Payments, or FinTech platforms** . - Deep expertise in **Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Distributed Systems, Kafka, API Gateways, Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, and High-Scale Databases** . - Strong understanding of **SRE practices, Observability, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Platform Scalability** . - Experience with **NPCI integrations, Payment Switching, Security, Fraud Prevention, and Regulatory Compliance** is highly preferred. **Preferred Background** Candidates from leading payment, fintech, banking, or large-scale technology organizations with proven experience building mission-critical transaction platforms handling millions of daily transactions.
