OCI Cloud Support Engineer • Role Summary The OCI Cloud Support Engineer is responsible for providing Level 2 / Level 3 operational support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and SLA compliance across production and non-production systems. • Key Responsibilities • Provide L2/L3 support for OCI-based infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Networking). • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to OCI services, ensuring SLA adherence. • Manage OCI Compute (VMs, Bare Metal), block volumes, object storage, and backups. • Handle OCI Networking: VCNs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Lists, NSGs, DRGs, Load Balancers. • Support IAM: users, groups, compartments, policies, and access controls. • Perform incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes. • Coordinate with Oracle Support for SR management and RCA closure. • Support DR/BCP activities, including backups, restores, and DR drills. • Automate routine tasks using OCI CLI, Terraform, or scripts (Bash/Python). • Apply OS-level support (Oracle Linux/RHEL): patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. • Ensure security and compliance (hardening, vulnerability remediation, audit requirements). • Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks. • Required Skills & Experience • 3?7 years of experience in Cloud / Infrastructure Support roles. • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). • Solid knowledge of: • OCI Core Services (Compute, VCN, Load Balancer, Storage) • Linux administration (Oracle Linux / RHEL) • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) • Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred). • Exposure to Terraform / IaC, OCI CLI, and monitoring tools. • Understanding of Backup, DR, Security, and Identity Management concepts. • Good to Have • OCI Architect or OCI Operations certifications • Experience with Hybrid Cloud or Multi-Cloud (AWS/Azure) • Kubernetes / OKE exposure • Database awareness (Oracle DB basics) • Soft Skills • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Clear customer communication and stakeholder management • Willingness to work in 24x7 shifts / on-call rotations • Documentation and process discipline mindset Oracle Cloud
