Job Description: Provide executive leadership and drive organizational growth through strategic initiatives. This role is placed under the ‘First Line Compliance’ function of EXL’s diversified, banking and F&A business units. The ‘FLC’ team is responsible for managing and overseeing the organization’s first-line compliance function. The role entails ensuring that business operations adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, support various audits and gap closure, work with different departments to improve controls and process design, disseminate best practices, fostering a culture of compliance while empowering the business to manage their risk and control environment. This role will focus on overseeing the FLC function for specific business units, implement and evolving the FLC framework for maximum impact, work with various stakeholders to improve risk detection and mitigation, fix design gaps, work with 2 *nd* and 3 *rd* lines of defence to improve EXL’s risk posture, contribute to defining compliance requirements for new and emerging businesses and domains. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on expertise in compliance management. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on expertise in compliance management. **Qualifications: Essential skills and experience - minimum criteria** - **Education:** - Bachelor’s degree (preferably with accounting) - **Experience:** - 10+ years of experience in in compliance, risk management, or regulatory functions - Strong understanding of the three-line organizational compliance model - Proven experience engaging with clients and senior stakeholders - Experience in process mapping and identifying inefficiencies or risks. - **Technical Skills:** - Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management principles, and compliance frameworks - Proficiency in using governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools - Strong analytical skills to assess compliance risks and implement controls - Data-driven approach to compliance monitoring and reporting - Understanding of digital and IT compliance risks and concepts. - **Soft Skills:** - Superior communication and interpersonal skills - Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision making skills - capability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights. - Ability to communicate complex insights and audit findings clearly, effectively and impactfully to stakeholders both verbally and through presentations - Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across departments. - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
